I have rang ebay several times, over the past 4 days & spoken with CS who finally now DO acknowldge there is major issue with the payment process. Until recently (I don't know when this changed) the Buy It Now option remained throughout the whole aucton. Just FYI, I know this post is old but wanted to add just incase anyone else is recently having the same issue. I recieved my paypal confirmation email saying purchase status is complete . ... Why would credit card affect Buy It Now and Cart and not affect bidding on an item. See what else eBay is doing to protect sellers. I have had the same issue with Buy it Now and Add to Cart. The same price listed does not work on ebay , so have to reduce listed price listed . You ever try to get total for combining when the items you wanted from one seller were all buy it now? I have placed 2 ads for auction of which I did put a buy it now price but the buy it now price is not in the ad and now there is a bidder and I can't fix this error, I do not wish to sell my item for 99cents it would cost more than that to post it I am looking to make money here not … Not sure what to do though as people have offered the buy now price and wanting to get the transaction actioned. I share your opinion. eBay is proactively educating buyers and taking action in cases of Feedback abuse. As in, no one can pay. The advantage of a Buy It Now is that the item can sell more quickly - the 5,7, or 10-day duration does not need to pass for the listing to end. Now, it is a fact that ebay have changed this option whereby, once the first bid is received the Buy it Now option is automatically removed! I had set all my listings for buy it now … But, there's a catch with Buy It Now. I called Ebay and the said that they are aware of the problem, it has to do with only some accounts and they are working on it. However, once live, the listing does not show the Buy It Now price.I'm panicking as I chose 99p starting price to drum up interest, with the BiN price as the realistic figure, so that buyers could see the potential worth.
