The great benefit of Apocalypse in Diablo is that it works over walls and damages anything and everything on the screen. Disadvantages Mage has tons of magic already. Ignore armor class, it's highly unlikely that you'll get enough of it to matter. Duration grows with the spell level, to a maximum of 12 seconds. With this you should be able to transform yourself from a sloppy lvl 35 mage who needs to hit town every level in hell/hell for more blues, to a precise and deadly assassins who can clear 13-15 and at least part of lvl 16 before running dry on blue, and in no more than about 5-10 minutes per level. Its almost impossible to find a decent way to emulate it for macOS, and none of those versions will be able to play it with the Hellfire expansion pack, which includes new classes that have yet to be fully explored even in the most current iterations of the game. Stone does not cost you any mana if you miss, and you cant stone something that was already stoned, so target an area, click it a few times, and then feel pretty secure about teleporting in. For levels 13-15 (not including Lazs room), I never vary from fireball, chain lightning, stone curse, and teleport. Fireball does a lot more damage, in almost all situations, and you can be standing anywhere and fire it at will. This is not a very useful attribute for a mage, as your goal is to kill things before they get close enough to have a change at hitting you in the first place. Dexterity Raising your dexterity increases your AC, and also increases your success in blocking an attack. This way Diablo will never hit you twice in a row, since his hits will knock you backwards. Other switching options might be an ob/wiz for a dragon/wiz, where you would use the dragon/wiz on full melee monster levels and ob/wiz for the resistance when needed.
